COVID-19: Nigeria records 393 new cases, total now 202,191

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 393 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 202,191.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 338 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 6 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,661.

The 393 new cases are reported from 14 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

FCT topped the day’s infections chart with 121 new cases followed by Lagos-86, Edo-70 and Delta-30.

Other states with new cases include Rivers-24, Plateau-16, Benue-11, Cross River-10, Abia-8, Bayelsa-4, Gombe-4, Bauchi-3, Kano-3, Adamawa-2 and Taraba-1.

Till date, 202,191 cases have been confirmed, 190,901 cases have been discharged and 2,661 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
