COVID-19: Nigeria records 40 new cases, total now 166,019
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 40 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 166,019.
The NCDC disclosed this via its official twitter handle on Sunday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 7 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation.
The 40 new cases are reported from 7 states of the federation.
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 29 new infections followed by Abia -3, Ogun -3, Kano -2, Kaduna -1, Plateau -1, and Rivers -1
Till date, 166,019 cases have been confirmed, 156,476 cases have been discharged and 2,067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
