COVID-19: Nigeria records 41 new cases, total now 165,702

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 41 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,702.

The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Saturday

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 73 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.

The 41 new cases are reported from 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

Lagos the epicenter of the virus in the nation reported 16 new infections followed by Yobe -14.

Other states with new cases include Rivers -3, FCT -3, Akwa Ibom -2, Bayelsa -2 and Edo -1.

Till date, 165,702 cases have been confirmed, 156,412 cases have been discharged and 2066 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
