COVID-19: Nigeria records 41 new cases, total now 213,924
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 41 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,924.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 20 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 41 new cases are reported from 6 states of the federation.
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country topped the day’s infections chart with 17 new cases followed by Plateau -10.
Other states with new cases include Bauchi -4, Kano -4, Rivers -4 and Niger -2.
Till date, 213,924 cases have been confirmed, 207,114 cases have been discharged and 2,975 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
