COVID-19: Nigeria records 43 new cases, total now 165,852
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 43 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,852.
The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Wednesday
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 36 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 43 new cases are reported from 6 states of the federation.
Lagos the epicenter of the virus in Nigeria reported 19 new cases followed by Rivers 14.
Other states with new cases include Kastina -5, Jigawa -3, Kano -1 and Oyo -1
Till date, 165,852 cases have been confirmed, 156,456 cases have been discharged and 2067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
