COVID-19: Nigeria records 433 new cases, total now 203,514

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 433 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 203,514.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Thursday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 341 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 2 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,668.

The 433 new cases are reported from 16 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

FCT topped the day’s infections chart with 191 new cases followed by Lagos-79 and Anambra-63.

Other states with new cases include Rivers-27, Plateau-13, Oyo-10, Delta-9, Ondo-8, Edo-7, Gombe-6, Akwa Ibom-5, Borno-5, Ekiti-4, Bayelsa-2, Zamfara-2, Enugu-1 and Kano-1.

Till date, 203,514 cases have been confirmed, 191,942 cases have been discharged and 2,668 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
