COVID-19: Nigeria records 45 new cases, total now 213,532
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 45 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,532.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 185 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 45 new cases are reported from 5 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Anambra topped the day’s infections chart with 18 new cases followed by FCT -15.
Other states with new cases include Lagos -9, Bauchi -1, Kano -1 and Rivers -1.
Till date, 213,532 cases have been confirmed 206,486 cases have been discharged and 2,973 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
