COVID-19: Nigeria records 460 new cases, total now 191,805
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 460 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 191,805.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 209 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,455.
The 362 new cases are reported from 12 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Rivers topped the day’s infections chart with 164 new cases followed by Lagos -139 and Edo -61.
Other states with new cases include FCT-37, Bayelsa-20, Oyo-14, Plateau-7, Ogun-6, Anambra-4, Benue-4, Enugu-2, Cross River-1 and Kaduna-1.
Till date, 191,805 cases have been confirmed, 178, 492 cases have been discharged and 2,455 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
