COVID-19: Nigeria records 47 new cases, total now 165,515
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 47 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,515.
The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Tuesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 40 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation after receiving their second negative result.
The 47 new cases are reported from 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Adamawa topped the day’s infections chart with 19 new cases followed by Lagos-16, Enugu -3, Kaduna -3, Akwa Ibom -2.Delta -2 and FCT -2.
Till date, 165,515 cases have been confirmed, 156,358 cases have been discharged and 2,065 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
