COVID-19: Nigeria records 474 new cases, total now 70,669
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 474 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 70,669.
The NCDC made this known via its official website Wednesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 132 coronavirus patients who were successfully treated in some of the isolation centres were discharged after receiving their second negative result while 2 new death were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 1,184.
The 474 new cases are reported from 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
FCT tops the day’s infection chart with 180 new cases followed by Lagos -134 and Kebbi -45.
Other states new cases include Adamawa -26, Plateau -16, Enugu -14, Taraba -14, Gombe -12, Nasarawa -8, Yobe -8, Rivers -5, Ogun -5, Kwara -2, Ekiti -2, Sokoto -2 and Osun -1
Till date, 70,669 cases have been confirmed, 65,242 cases have been discharged and 1,184 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
