COVID-19: Nigeria records 52 new cases, total now 212,765

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 52 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 212,765.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 130 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 0 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,906.

The 52 new cases are reported from 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Cross River topped the day’s infections chart with 13 new cases followed by Lagos -12.

Other states with new cases include Enugu-8, Plateau-7, Rivers-5, FCT-3, Bauchi-2, Abia-1 and Kano-1.

Till date, 212,765 cases have been confirmed 204,261 cases have been discharged and 2,906 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
