COVID-19: Nigeria records 52 new cases, total now 213,677
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 52 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,677.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Tuesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 19 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 52 new cases are reported from 7 states of the federation.
Rivers topped the day’s infections chart with 20 new cases followed Lagos -15.
Other states with new cases include Plateau-8, Jigawa -6, Delta -1, Gombe -1 and Kaduna -1.
Till date, 213,677 cases have been confirmed 206,797 cases have been discharged and 2,974 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
