COVID-19: Nigeria records 520 new cases, total now 146,184

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), recorded 520 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 146,184.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Sunday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 439 Coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 5 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 1,752.

The 520 new cases are reported from 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Ondo topped the day’s infections chart with 120 new cases followed by Borno-41, Ebonyi-37, Benue-33 and Plateau-30.

Other states with new cases include FCT-29, Nasarawa-25, Ogun-25, Edo-24, Osun-24, Katsina-22, Kaduna-21, Niger-20, Kwara-14, Ekiti-13, Yobe-10, Oyo-4, Bayelsa-1, and Jigawa-1.

Till date, 146,184 cases have been confirmed, 120,838 cases have been discharged and 1,752 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
