COVID-19: Nigeria records 53 new cases, total now 165, 612
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 53 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,612.
The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Thursday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 13 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment across the country after receiving their second negative result.
The 53 new cases are reported from 3 states of the federation.
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 36 new infections followed by Rivers -14, and Akwa Ibom -3
Till date, 165,612 cases have been confirmed, 156,387 cases have been discharged and 2,066 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
