COVID-19: Nigeria records 543 new cases, as total exceed 38,000

Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 543 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total infections to 38,344.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said eight fatalities were recorded in the country on Wednesday as death toll rose to 813.

The NCDC said the new cases were reported in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

The health Agency disclosed that Lagos, the epicentre recorded 180 cases, followed by FCT with 86.

Other states with new cases are: Kaduna-56, Edo-47, Ondo-37, Kwara-35, Ogun-19, Rivers-19, Kano-17, Ebonyi-16, Enugu-16, Delta-7, Bayelsa-4, Bauchi-3, Abia-1.”

Till date Nigeria has recorded 38,344 confirmed cases while 15,815 have been successfully treated and discharged.
