COVID-19: Nigeria records 58 new cases, total now 213,982
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 58 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,982.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 70 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 58 new cases are reported from 9 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Imo topped the day’s infections chart with 27 new cases followed by Lagos -9 and Rivers -9.
Other states with new cases include Katsina -3, Bayelsa -2, FCT -2, Kano -2, Niger -2, Bauchi -1 and Plateau -1.
Till date, 213,982 cases have been confirmed 207,184 cases have been discharged and 2,975 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
