COVID-19: Nigeria records 58 new cases, total now 59,345
The Nigeria Centre for Disease control (NCDC) on Sunday confirmed 58 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 59,345.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) shows that 50 patients were discharged after recovering from the coronavirus on Sunday.
The 58 new cases the lowest in 7 months are reported from 8 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Plateau recorded highest number of infections on the day with 18 new cases followed by Lagos -15 and Katsina -10.
Other states with new cases include Ogun -5, Kaduna -4, Edo -3, Ekiti -1, FCT -1and Ondo -1.
Till date, 59,345 cases have been confirmed, 50,768 cases have been discharged and 1,113 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
