COVID-19: Nigeria records 65 new cases, total now 213,883
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 65 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,883.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Thursday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 78 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus 2975.
The 65 new cases are reported from 9 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country topped the day’s infections chart with 20 new cases followed by FCT-12 and Kaduna-11.
Other states with new cases include Oyo-9, Bauchi-4, Kano-4, Edo-2, Ekiti-1, Plateau-1 and Rivers-1
Till date, 213,883 cases have been confirmed 207, 094 cases have been discharged and 2,975 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
