COVID-19: Nigeria records 662 new cases, total now 150,908

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 662 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 150,908.

The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Friday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 1,083 Coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 10 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 1,813.

The 662 new cases are reported from 22 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epicenter of the virus in the country recorded 167 new infections followed by FCT -116, Ogun -45 and Kano -44.

Other states with new cases include Akwa Ibom -35, Edo -34, Rivers -27, Kaduna -23, Osun -23, Kwara -22, Taraba -22, Oyo -20, Ondo -19, Plateau -14, Abia -11, Imo -11, Nasarawa -7, Niger -6, Bayelsa -5, Delta -5, Enugu -3, Ekiti 2, and Jigawa -1.

Till date, 150,908 cases have been confirmed, 127,500 cases have been discharged and 1,813 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
