COVID-19: Nigeria records 681 new cases, total infections now 14554

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control says 681 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in 17 states of the nation.

The health agency also disclosed that 5 new deaths were recorded on Thursday.

Lagos that has been the epic centre of the virus in Nigeria reported 345 new cases, Rivers had 51 new cases, Ogun reported 48 new cases and Gombe with 47 new cases.

Other states with new cases are Oyo-36 Imo-31 Delta-28 Kano-23 Bauchi-18 Edo-12 Katsina-12 Kaduna-9 Anambra-7 Jigawa-5 Kebbi-4 Ondo-4 Nasarawa-1

With the latest figures on Thursday, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country have reached 14,554 with 4494 Discharged and 387 Deaths recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
