COVID-19: Nigeria records 69 new cases, total now 165,778
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 69 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,778.
The NCDC disclose this via its official twitter handle on Monday.
Data from the health agency reveals that 2 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,067
The 69 new cases are reported from 3 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Ondo topped the day’s infections chart with 35 new cases followed by Lagos -30, Rivers, 3 and FCT -1.
Till date, 165,778 cases have been confirmed, 156,415 cases have been discharged and 2,067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
