COVID-19: Nigeria records 7 new cases, total now 165,709

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 7 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,709.

The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Sunday

Data from the health agency reveals that 1 coronavirus patient was successfully treated and discharged.  

The 7 new cases are reported from two states of the federation.

Niger topped day’s the infections chart with 5 new cases followed by Rivers -2.

Till date, 165,709 cases have been confirmed, 156,413 cases have been discharged and 2,066 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
