COVID-19: Nigeria records 74 new cases, total now 206,138
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 74 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 206,138.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Sunday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 204 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result with no new death recorded in the last two days across the country.
The 74 new cases are reported from 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 36 new cases followed by Edo -11.
Other states with new cases include, FCT -9, Akwa Ibom -6, Sokoto -6, Delta -3, Benue -1, Oyo -1 and Rivers -1.
Till date, 206,138 cases have been confirmed, 194,097 cases have been discharged and 2,723 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
