COVID-19: Nigeria records 75 new cases, total now 252,753

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 75 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 252,753.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Wednesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 644 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 3,134.
The 75 new cases are reported from 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 33 new infections followed by Gombe -13 and FCT -11.
Other states with new cases include Osun -8, Edo -3, Rivers -3, Plateau -2, Kaduna -1 and Kano -1
Till date, 252,753 have been confirmed 228,137 cases have been discharged and 3,134 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
