COVID-19: Nigeria records 8 new cases, total now 254,606

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 8 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 254,606.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Thursday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 16 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.  

The 8 new cases are reported from 1 state of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Rivers topped the day’s infections chart with 5 new cases followed by FCT -3

Till date, 254,606 have been confirmed 249,154 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
