COVID-19: Nigeria records 89 new cases, total now 211,887
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 89 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 211,887.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 150 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 3 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,895.
The 89 new cases are reported from 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Bauchi topped the day’s infections chart with 22 new cases followed by Edo-17, FCT-17 and Lagos-15.
Other states with new cases include Plateau-10, Kaduna-4, Taraba-2, Bayelsa-1 and Delta-1.
Till date, 211, 887 cases have been confirmed 203,080 cases have been discharged and 2,895 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
