COVID-19: Nigeria records 90 new cases, total now 212,051

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 90 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 212,051.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 217 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 2 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,898.

The 90 new cases are reported from 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 33 new cases followed by FCT-15 and Nasarawa-14.

Other states with new cases include Cross River-11, Rivers-11, Kano-3, Bayelsa-2 and Kaduna-1.

Till date, 212,051 cases have been confirmed 203,338 cases have been discharged and 2,898 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
