COVID-19: Nigeria records 94 new cases, total now 64,184
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 94 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 64,184.
The NCDC disclose this via its verified twitter handle on Monday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 159 patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation while 4 deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll to 1,158.
The 94 new cases are reported from 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the nation recorded 50 new cases followed by FCT -24.
Other states with new cases include Kwara -9, Edo -4, Kaduna -3, Ondo -2 and Plateau -2.
Till date, 64,184 cases have been confirmed, 60,069 cases have been discharged and 1,158 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
