COVID-19: Nigeria records 99 new cases, total now 212,150
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 99 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 212,150.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Tuesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 186 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,899.
The 99 new cases are reported from 9 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Bauchi topped the day’s infections chart with 24 new cases followed by Plateau-24 and FCT-22.
Other states with new cases include Lagos-9, Taraba-8, Kaduna-4, Edo-3, Kano-3, Bayelsa-1 and Rivers-1.
Till date, 212,150 cases have been confirmed 203,524 cases have been discharged and 2,899 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
