COVID-19: Osun records 37 new cases, records 1 death

Osun State recorded 37 cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of infections in the state to 318.

The State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu, disclosed this in a statement in Osogbo on Wednesday.  

Isamotu also said four patients were discharged from the state treatment and isolation centre while one death was recorded on Wednesday.  

According to him, the State currently has 172 active cases while 138 patients have been successfully treated and discharged, with eight deaths recorded so far in Osun.

Dr. Isamotu appealed to citizens and residents of the State to always observe all the precautionary measures laid down by the State against the spread of the virus.

Similarly, Prof Peter Olaitan, acting CMD LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, has been named the new incident manager of Covid-19 Technical committee. He takes over from the previous manager who has been given another assignment.
