Ekiti Assembly tasks new HoS on effective service delivery

Ekiti State House of Assembly’s Committee on Public Service Matters and Establishment has charged the new Head of Service of the state, Mr Bamidele Agbede, to ensure growth and development of the public service.

Its Chairman, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, gave the admonition on Tuesday, when he led members of the committee on an oversight visit to the office of the Head of Service in Ado- Ekiti.

Aribisogan, who also doubles as the Majority Leader, called for maintenance of the mutual relationship between the assembly and the office of the Head of Service in order to make the state public service a force to reckon with.

The committee congratulated the newly appointed Head of Service, urging him to uphold the rules and principles guiding the ethics of public service.

The team also charged him to use his vast experience for the development of the service.

In his response, Agbede appreciated the lawmakers for the visit.

He promised to continue to build on the good relationship between the public service and the assembly.

Agbede said that plans were underway to improve on the state public service in order for it to compete favourably with its counterparts across Nigeria and the world at large.
