Ekiti Chief Judge Frees 44 Inmates, Secures Bail For Others
The Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola on Wednesday set 44 inmates free.
The inmates comprise 43 male and one female awaiting trial, while three others were granted bail in a very liberal terms.
Justice Daramola advised those who just regained their freedom to be obedient to the law of the land.
He also advised lawyers to be mindful of politically motivated cases to avoid their images from been dented and tarnished.
The Chief Judge who was conducted round the facilities by the comptroller of Correctional Services, Mr Afolabi Akinyemi commended them for taking good care of the inmates as well as keeping the environment clean and healthy.
Present at the facility tour were Ekiti state Director of Public Prosecution, Mr. Julius Ajibare, legal adviser to the Ekiti State Police Command, Mr. Femi Falade, High Court judges, magistrates among others.
Justice Daramola promised to revisit the facility before the year runs out.
