Nigeria records 276 new covid-19 cases, total now 8344

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday confirmed 276 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Lagos and 14 other states of the federation.

NCDC said 16 more deaths were recorded which brings total number of casualties to 249 across the nation.

The health agency in its breakdown said 161 cases were reported in Lagos, 36 in Rivers, 27 in Edo, 19 in Kaduna and 10 in Nasarawa.

Other states with new cases are Oyo 6, Kano 4, Delta 3, Ebonyi 3, Gombe 2, Ogun 1, Borno 1, Abia 1 and Bauchi 1

Meanwhile 2385 patients have been successfully treated and discharged.
