Nigeria records 387 new COVID-19 cases, total now 9,302

Nigeria records 387 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Friday, which brings total cases in the country to 9,302

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed the new cases on its official twitter handle.

The health agency said 2,697 patients have been successfully treated and discharged with 261 persons losing their lives to the infection this put the country’s total active cases at 6,344.

Lagos state which is the epicentre recorded 254 new cases, Federal Capital territory with 29, Jigawa 24 and Edo 22.

Other states with new infections are Oyo 15, Rivers 14, Kaduna 11, Borno 6, Kano 3, Plateau, Yobe, Gombe and Bauchi recorded 2 cases each while Ondo recorded 1 new case.
