Nigeria records 389 new COVID-19 cases, highest in a day
Nigeria records its highest daily number of infections on Wednesday from the novel coronavirus with 389 cases which now puts the total no of infections in the country at 8733
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its verified twitter account stated that 256 cases were recorded in Lagos, 23 in Katsina and 22 in Edo.
Other states with new cases were Rivers with 14 cases, Kano 13 cases, Adamawa and Akwa-Ibom recorded 11 cases each. Kaduna 7 with six in kwara and Nasarawa .
The tweet further revealed that two cases each were discovered in Gombe, Plateau, Abia, Delta, Benue, Niger, Kogi, and Oyo States, with one case each in Imo, Borno, Ogun and Anambra State
The NCDC said 2501 patients have been discharged and 254deaths were recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
