Ramadan: Lagos Dep. Gov. urges Muslim faithful to follow health guidelines
The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, has urged Muslim faithful to follow all health guidelines during the Ramadan period to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Hamzat gave the advice through his Twitter handle on Friday as Muslim faithful began the Ramadan.
He appealed to all Muslim faithful to obey all the precautionary measures put in place, especially, at this fasting period in order to stop the spread of the virus.
He urged them to ensure strict compliance to social distancing at this Ramadan period.
“Please follow all health guidelines even as we fast. Let empathy, love and obedience be our watchwords this period.
“These difficult times shall pass Insha’Allah,” he said.
He wished Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslim brothers and sisters during these extraordinary times.
