The President stated this in his nationwide broadcast to Nigerians on Monday the 27th of April, 2020.
He used the opportunity to express deep concern about isolated security incidents even as Security Agencies continue to rise to the challenge posed by this unusual situation.
President Buhari stated that even as his administration focuses on protecting lives and properties, it would not tolerate any human rights abuse by security agencies.
“The few reported incidences are regrettable, and I want to assure you that the culprits will be brought to justice,” the President vowed.
The President urged Nigerians to continue to cooperate and show understanding whenever they encounter security agents. “Furthermore, for their protection, I have instructed that the personnel of all the security agencies be provided with the necessary personal protective equipment against infection”.
