TETFUND commends FCE-ABK on transparent project execution
The Federal College of Education (FCE), Abeokuta, has received accolades from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Board of Trustees for its exemplary record of excellence and transparent project execution.
The commendation was made during a familiarization visit by the Board to the College on Monday, 12th May, 2025.
The Provost, FCE Abeokuta, Dr. R.A. Soyele, highlighted the College's history and its upcoming 50th anniversary celebration, which will showcase TETFUND's impact on the institution's development.
Dr. Soyele, in a statement issued on Wednesday by the acting Director, information, Anthony Ogundipe, attributed the College's success to the effective monitoring of projects by the end-users committee, ensuring that all projects are completed without abandonment.
The Member Representing South West on the TETFUND Board, Rt. Hon. Sunday Adepoju, praised the College's leadership and projects execution, describing FCE Abeokuta as a model institution.
He emphasized the importance of accountability in the utilization of TETFUND allocations, commending the South West Zone for efficient use of funds.
Adepoju noted that FCE Abeokuta stood out with no abandoned projects and minimal challenges.
The Provost appreciated TETFUND's support, while the acting Registrar, Mr. O.O. Tonade, expressed gratitude for the Fund's generosity and requested additional infrastructure to support the upcoming Degree programme.
The visit underscored the College's commitment to excellence and transparency in project execution, with TETFUND's support playing a significant role in its development.
