Ogundoyin re-elected as Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker

The Speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin has been returned as the Speaker of the house for the second term.

Ogundoyin, who represents Ibarapa East constituency, is a third term lawmaker. He will be presiding over the assembly for the second term after winning election as speaker in 2019.

He was nominated by the lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency, Hon. Dele Adela, after the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde  issued the proclamation for the House.

The motion to nominated Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin was seconded by Hon. Gabriel Babajide of Ibadan North.

The inauguration which started today at exactly 11am had several guests in attendance which include the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal, the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Yerima, traditional rulers among several others.
