Ondo 2020: Akeredolu wins Ondo Guber poll

The Ondo state governor and All Progressive Congress candidate Arakurin Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared winner of the governorship poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Akerdolu polled 292,830 votes against the People’s Democratic Party candidate Eyitayo Jegede 195,791 while Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party polled 69, 127 respectively.

INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof Idowu Olayinka, who declared Akeredolu winner, said he had met all conditions required to be returned as governor-elect.

Akeredolu, after been declared winner appreciated the good people of Ondo state and the leadership of the All Progressive Congress for believing in him and called on the other candidates to join hands with him in moving the Sunshine state forward.
