Oyo people are yearning for ‘APC’ change – Olaoluwa

All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Hon. Peter Olaoluwa, has described the party as the change the citizens of Oyo State have been yearning for.

Olaoluwa stated this at a meeting held with APC state leaders, stakeholders, and members at the party secretariat in Ibadan on Wednesday.

He noted that his ambition to govern the state in 2027 was driven by a genuine interest in the welfare of the people.

According to him, if given the opportunity, his administration will be guided by selfless service to humanity.

Olaoluwa vowed to restore the state’s glory and its pacesetter status through his seven-point agenda.

“I will set a pace for the state.

“The salary structure for the current administration is on the 25th of every month, and that shows the state government workers are receiving salaries 12 times a year.

“I have worked outside the country, and I know the method they adopt in paying salaries; they pay me every two weeks.

“This is what I am going to adopt if I have the opportunity to govern this state, because it follows the concepts in accountancy.

“When the employees of the state are getting money regularly, they will be able to plan, and they will not think of stealing government money.

“Also, I am going to invest heavily in agro-allied farming; as a farmer, I have more than 100 acres of my own.

“The farming structure that I will put in place is the one that people can plant throughout the year. That shows no dry or rainy season.

“This will create mass employment for citizens and help the government to have enough food items to sell to people at a break-even price,” he said.

He, however, called on members of the party and residents of the state to sustain their unwavering support for the party.

This, he said, would make them enjoy more dividends of democracy, both at the state and national levels.
