Wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs Betty Akeredolu, says she is running for Imo East Senatorial District election in 2023 to lead the leadership conversation on behalf of her people.

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has distanced itself from a purported primary elections timetable being circulated in the media stating that it did not emanate from its leadership.  

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the July 16 gubernatorial election in Osun State after defecting from the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.
