An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Friday remanded one unemployed Charles Eze in the Ikoyi Custodial Centre, after he pleaded guilty to stealing 16 Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards and some Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards.

Unknown gunmen on Thursday shot dead a popular Trado-medical practitioner, Alhaji Fatai Yusuf aka Oko Oloyun.

Until his death, he was the Chairman of Oko-Oloyun Worldwide and De-Fayus International, through which he manufactured popular Fijk Flusher and other popular products.

He was shot dead on Eruwa-Igboora Road in Ibarapa Central LGA of Oyo State around 4:30 pm on Thursday.

The motive for the killing remains unknown.

“Gunmen attacked his vehicle on the Eruwa-Igboora Road in Ibarapa Central; they shot at his vehicle and he was hit by a bullet.

“The man’s corpse has been deposited in the Igbo-Ora General Hospital,” the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Gbenga Fadeyi, disclosed.

He added that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Shina Olukolu, visited the scene of the incident shortly after and directed a high-powered manhunt for the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ebute Meta, Lagos on Friday, ordered that two men who allegedly robbed and murdered the wife of the Managing Director of Maersk, be in Kirikiri Correctional Centre, pending legal advice.

An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered 25-year-old Emmanuel Eyo, a barber, to be remanded for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl.
