Operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) attached to the Lagos State Police Command has arrested an ex-convict, Tunde Ajeigbe for allegedly snatching a phone from a passenger in a commercial bus.

The executive governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has advised Lagosians to take precautionary measures to prevent fire disasters in view of the prevailing harmattan weather which aids the spread of fires.  

Pandemonium has broken out in Oyo town after an early morning fire razed larger part of the ancient Akesan market with the men of the nearby fire service unable to curtail the situation.

The situation got messier when youths vented their anger on the fire service, who attributed their incapacities to non-functional equipment at the disposal.

No fewer than four people lost their lives in a fatal road accident that occurred along Ilesha/Ife expressway in Osun State.
