COVID-19: Nigeria discharges 4,253, records 113 new cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday confirmed 113 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 61,307.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) shows that 4,253 patients were successfully treated and discharged after recovering from the novel coronavirus hereby setting a new recovery record for a single day in the country while 4 causalities were recorded pushing the nation’s death toll to 1,123.
The 113 new cases are reported from 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the nation reported 37 new cases followed by Kaduna -16, Ogun -11 and Plateau -11.
Other states with new cases include Taraba -8, Rivers -7, FCT -6, Enugu -4, Niger -4, Edo -3, Delta -2, Imo -2, Benue -1 and Kano -1
Till date, 61,307 cases have been confirmed, 56,557 cases have been discharged and 1,123 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
