COVID-19: Nigeria records 126 new cases, total now 58,324
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday confirmed 126 new cases of COVID-19 bringing total number of infections in the country to 58,324.
Data from the health agency reveals that 72 patients were successfully treated and discharged while 2 patients lost their lives to the novel coronavirus.
The 126 new cases are reported from 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
FCT recorded 30 new infections followed by Lagos -24 and Rivers -23.
Other states with new infections include Ogun -13, Katsina -9, Plateau -9, Ondo -6, Kaduna -4, Kwara -4, Imo -2, Bauchi -1 and Edo -1
Till date, 58,324 cases have been confirmed, 49,794 cases have been discharged and 1,108 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
