COVID-19: Nigeria records 136 new cases, total now 58,460
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 136 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 58,460.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) on Monday night shows that 101 patients were discharged while 3 new deaths were recorded pushing the nation’s death toll to 1, 111.
The 136 new cases were reported from 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epic centre of the virus in the country reported 71 new infections followed by Rivers -23 and Plateau -12.
Other states with new cases include Adamawa -6, Oyo -6, Kaduna -5, Abia -3, FCT -3 Katsina -2, Kwara -2, Bauchi -1, Borno -1 and Edo -1.
Till date, 58,460 cases have been confirmed 49,895 cases have been discharged and 1,111 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
