COVID-19: Nigeria records 136 new cases, total infections now 58,198
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday confirmed 136 new cases of COVID-19 bringing total number of infections in the country to 58,198
Data from the health agency reveals that 116 patients were discharged after recovering from the Coronavirus while 3 new fatalities were recorded pushing the nations death toll to 1,106
The 136 new cases are reported from 16 states.
Lagos reported 41 new infections followed by Ogun with 27 and Rivers -19.
Other states with new cases include Abia -10, Oyo -6, Plateau -6, Bauchi -5, Ondo -5, Ekiti -4, Kaduna -4, Edo -3, Ebonyi -2, Bayelsa -1, Delta -1, Osun -1 and Yobe -1
Till date, 58,198 cases have been confirmed, 49,722 cases have been discharged and 1,106 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
