COVID-19: Nigeria records 163 new cases, total now 60,266
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 163 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 60,266.
Data from the health agency shows that 24 patients were discharged after recovering from the coronavirus on Sunday.
The 163 new cases are reported from 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epic centre of the virus in the nation recorded 113 new infections followed by Kaduna with 21 new cases.
Other states with new infections include Osun -8, Ondo -5, Oyo -5, Ogun -3, Bayelsa -2, Taraba -2, Edo -1, FCT -1, Katsina -1 and Plateau -1.
Till date, 60,266 cases have been confirmed, 51,735 cases have been discharged and 1,115 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
