COVID-19: Nigeria records 176 new cases, as total hits 55,632
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday confirmed 176 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 55,632.
Data from the health agency shows that 3 new deaths were recorded pushing the country’s death toll to 1,070
The 176 new cases were reported from 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
FCT recorded the day’s highest cases with 40 new infections, followed by Lagos -34 and Plateau -26,
Other states with new infections include Enugu -14, Delta -12, Ogun -12, Ondo -9, Oyo -8, Ekiti -6, Ebonyi -4, Adamawa -2, Nasarawa -2, Kwara-2, Rivers -2, Edo -1, Osun -1, Bauchi -1.
Till date, 55,632 cases have been confirmed, 43,610 cases have been discharged and 1,070 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
